Mens hocky PETER SYMONS 2 WORTHING COLLEGE 1

               PETER SYMONS 2 WORTHING COLLEGE 1 JANUARY 27TH 2010
SCORER STEVE LOCKWOOD M.O.M. JACK SYNMONS

                                     "THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY"
With Peter Synoms scoring the winning goal in the dying seconds of the game it made a long journey back from a cold Southampton Leisure Centre, Worthing deserved at least a point from this encounter but it was not meant to be. Traveling away with the bare eleven would mean that it was always going to be a tough match, but Worthing rose to the challenge and played some of their best hockey to date.
Matches against Peter Symons are traditionally a bad tempered, feisty affair, but not so today, the match was played in a tough, though respectful spirit both sides playing some great quality hockey. Last time we played Peter Symons at home we lost 12-1 so a 2-1 lose away was not a massive disappointment, we are improving as an Academy side and this result is proof that our Hockey is going in the right direction, who knows a Worthing victory in our next encounter ! Well done guys you played some awesome hockey, hopefully we can take that into our cup match against Beacon on Friday
