Worthing College 2nd Netball Team V Southdowns

Southdowns College arrived with a team that consisted of 4 Netballers and 3 Footballers, but the girls were in good spirits and ready to play.  The 1^st quarter ended on Worthing winning 14 – 1, so with a quick team talk we decided that Worthing needed to work on their passing and movement on the court.  This went well and we continued good form and ended the 2^nd quarter on 29 – 1, defence was working well for the team as Southdowns did not manage to get anything on the scoreboard.  So into the 3^rd quarter with a few team changes, which somehow always slightly unbalances the team Worthing went straight back into the attack and with Amy moving to Goal Attack to work with Emma on the shooting we managed to keep the score going and ended on 40 – 3 to Worthing.  The last quarter and to gives the girls something more to work for I gave them a challenge (this worked well last season).  I told them I wanted at least 12 points this quarter and at the same time they were not to let their defence or passing let them down.  The girls succeeded and finished the 4^th quarter 54 – 3 to Worthing and nice 14 points gained.  Well done ladies!!
