Netball 1st Team

South Downs arrived early and keen to play and looking the part in their matching kit.

 

Worthing had warmed up well and it became apparent very early on that this was going to be a one sided game.  Georgia Williams and Hannah Carey have formed a very good partnership in attack and with Lizzi Northeast and Nicky Gatland controlling the centre court, Worthing took an early lead to end the first quarter 17 -1. The 2nd quarter was poor with Worthing losing their concentration and getting frustrated at some umpiring decisions and we ended the quarter 29-7.

 

Several changes were made to enable the whole squad to play and for me to see how players reacted to being in the 1^st team. South Down made several swops between the teams however Worthing continued their domination, with the subs working hard. The game ended with a 68-15 win to Worthing.
