Netball 1st

Worthing College 1 25 Peter Symonds 1 15

The decision to play in the Hampshire League looks like being the right one. Peter Symonds proved the toughest opponents Worthing have faced in a long time and they got off to a shaky start conceding the first two goals. The team were unsettled having lost Amber O’Brien to a fractured ankle and this meant moving Hanna Carey into GS, when she had started the season as GK, a big ask.

As time went on, we started to improve our passing and settle more and some excellent shooting from Hannah helped the situation, we went in at quarter time up by 5. The game was littered with some silly mistakes and poor passes, then some great moments of play and defending.  We never looked we were going to lose however never had a big league, a strange feeling for a team that were used to beating local opposition easily.

Amelia Stubbs came on at half time and had an excellent debut, taking a great interception within 30 seconds of her debut. A very promising player.

Lots to work on, but Hannah deputized extremely well for Amber.

Well done girls
