The netball team and rugby squad travelled to Collyers for two cup games, each hoping to progress to the next round. The netballers arrived early and spent a pleasant half hour team bonding in
The team of Emma Luke, Emma Mounford, Pippa Salt, Lizzie Northeast, Caitlin Kay, Ria Knight, Amelia Stubbs and Ellie Rees were looking forward to the occasion. They started slowly and despite their clear ability struggled in the first 5 mins to dominate the opposition, however by quarter time it was clear there was only going to be one winner. They took the game away from the opposition with some outstanding circle play and shooting from Emma L and Emma M and the defensive partnership of Amelia Stubbs and Ria Knight stood firm.
Some of the netball played was outstanding and despite the easy win, the players never rested on their laurels, worked hard and respected their opposition right to the final whistle. In the final quarter the shooting partnership of mounty and lukey scored 25 goals – outstanding.
