Worthing were equally determined to play much better than the week before and got off to a good start, scoring first and the game was evenly matched for the first 10 mins, a number of unforced errors on both sides, which then developed into more on Worthing’s part and we ended the first quarter 13 – 7 down.
The second quarter was more competitive with Brockenhurst winning it 9 -6, taking the half time score to 22 – 13. Changes were made in the defence as Caitlin had incurred the wrath of the umpires at both end, somewhat unfairly at times, as Brockenhurst are very good at contact on the blind side of the umpires, we are more obvious – something we need to learn.
