Worthing College Netball 2nd's V Brockenhurst College

Before we even started the game the mood amongst the girls was very nervous, with the weather threatening to pour down any second we settled into the game.  It was quick and the turnovers were happening all the time, we had to be on the ball with defending and quick passing.  The 1st quarter ended on 5 – 11 to them.

Going into the 2nd quarter the game started to get even quicker and the Worthing girls needed to up their pace, which they did.  With the courts being very slippery and in both teams there was quite a few falls, the girls needed to make sure that they were accurate in their footwork.  The 2nd quarter ended on 11 – 18 to Brockenhurst College.

Half time, a few changes to the team, and the weather started to turn a bit on us.  During the 3rd quarter our shooter Emma slipped badly and injured herself, so we had another change.  We had to work hard to keep with the very fast paced game, but the girls did not let up for a second and keep pushing back at visiting team.  The 3rd quarter ended on 18 – 29.

The last quarter, the girls needed to keep focused and continue to work as hard as possible, which they did.  The game was quick and Brockenhurst College started to pull away on the goals, but Worthing continued to defend hard and make the visiting team work hard.  The game ended on 21 – 40 to Brockenhurst College.
