we expected a tough test today V Lewis. we had to play our game & attack them at both ends!
from the opening tip we looked the aggressors! a great drive from captain ian marshall started our scoring. we forced Lewis to take outside shots & turned their misses into fast break points! scores from tom wyatt, louis harris & richard bell pushed us ahead in the 1st quarter & we finished up in front 22-14 after the first tem minutes
the second quarter saw both teams go back & forth scoring from all over the court! Lewis stepped up & we matched them shot for shot. we rotated players in off the bench & they all contributed. a sweet spin move & score from memo habib put us up 10! follow up scores from tanaka munjeri & jake robinson gave us a 39-27 halftime lead! we outscored Lewis 17-13 in the 2nd!
at the half we talked about upping the intensity & blowing the game open by running the lanes & pushing the ball at them!
from the opening minute of the 3rd quarter we did just that! we went on a scoring run & never looked back outscoring Lewis 22-14 again giving us a 61-41 20 point lead heading into the final stanza! (14 3rd quarter points for louis harris!)
in the 4th we rotated everybody into the game & we kept playing hard, keeping the lead! 3 big 3 pointers from matt sharp was the highlight! we again outscored Lewis in the quarter ( 21-18 ) giving us a convincing & much deserved victory.. 82-59!
