Subject: RUGBY VERSUS GODALMING
GODALMING A LOT WORTHING 7
" AN OUTSIDER LOOKING IN "
M.O.M. WIGZELL
On a sunny March afternoon we made our ways to Godalming, that is myself and the College 2nds Rugby Team, I would be an " An outsider looking in!" my son had played rugby for Worthing for 7 years so I was not quiete a complete novice, and probably would understand most of what I saw. What I did see was a completely commited team, who had at least 50% of the game and didn"t deserve to loose by such a big margin , to many mistakes and handling errors cost the Worthing side dearly. It was a shame for a side to loose so heavily to a team who Worthing had matched in many areas, the Worhing scrum and maulling was better than Godalming, and the forwards worked tirelessly. A special mention goes to Jo Walsh who was superb as Captain, and also I must mention Dowglass and Wigzell who had worked so hard for to little reward well done chaps!
On the whole a entertaining match to watch with some great rugby from Worthing at times, behaviour on and off the pitch was fantastic, so well done Ben and the Rugby Academy!
